Love Songs from the Past

Some of the most enjoyable moments that I can recall, Were spent around the piano with my Mother. A diminutive woman with the God given talent oozing from her 4' 11" frame.
Her tiny fingers breezed over the piano keys in rapid succession. She played all kinds of music but classical and opera were my favorites, and when we gathered as a family My Mom, my two uncles who were marvelous tenors, My sister Pat, our husbands and all our combined children, would sit enthralled at the melodious harmony that filled the room.
My Mother, my uncles my dear sister and one of her sons and one of mine have all gone to their heavenly reward. Surely they must be entertaining the Lord and His staff. I am praying that they have assigned angels who will let them all know how much we miss those precious times but we are grateful for the cassette tapes we were able to make. Hopefully I will be able to convert them to CD'S for it would be terrible if they were to be lost. It is important to treasure family heirlooms even the ones that are sung and every note becomes vital in the masterpiece known as the love songs of the past.
