Don't be afraid of the Storm

The announcement came loud and clear.
The hurricane season was finally here.
The reporters gave constant warning,
Of the sky and it's predicted storming.

Suddenly fear gripped the entire population.
Everyone experienced this weather aberration.
Despite sufficient broadcasts no one was prepared.
For the utter havoc to property that we shared.

The devastating winds and pounding rain came and went.
In its wake trees that withstood time now were bent.
Although the inhabitants feared for life and limb,
Fear subsided and calm restored because of Him.

Even in the disastrous wrenching weather,
People were able to band together.
We knew the Lord Jesus was there
And, with love our lives He would spare.

No matter what happens don't be afraid of the storm.
Our Savior is there and will keep you warm.
Just as he calmed the treacherous sea.
He will take care of you and me.
