In The Presence Of Angels
As a child closes their eyes in prayer.
A holy presence may also be there.
For in the pureness of the young heart.
Anything other than the Lord must depart.

A child's prayers go straight to God.
They are not hidden behind a facade,
Spoken with sincerity free of flaunts,
Not cluttered with a series of "I wants."

If we had the same qualities in our belief.
We would save ourselves some grief.
Teach us little children so that we may.
Shrug the shackles of this ordinary day.

Take my hand you precious little one.
Let me feel the presence of His son.
You are the Lord’s angelic emissary.
With your help my prayer will not tarry.

I will give you an important list,
Of my loved ones in God's midst.
I hope to join them be so true.
All these things I ask of you.
