I stood gazing at the expanse of water. The blazing sun made everything a blur. My heart was saddened by your absence, Your return was my life’s very essence. The pier was just the place to watch it's true. You had promised and I always believed you. The day would come, our lives would jell The future, only the dear Lord could tell. But as I think back to those early days. I am grateful we managed to find our way. My love for you has become stronger yet. There has been no cause or room for regret. I thank God that he saw us thru the hard times, For our love has continued and will forever shine. Let us be a firm example to those we love.
