It was dark and dismal with no place to turn
Tears welled up in her eyes and started to burn
Where could she find the strength to win
Now is the time to turn it over to Him.
On her knees and with open heart
This is how her plea did start
"Please Dear Jesus I know your here
For I can feel your loving presence near.
My terrified heart skipped a beat
When I saw the Dove, your symbol of peace
Bars seemed to vanish with your heavenly light
Gone from me was the sense of fright.
My Lord My Savior I know you are here
For I feel your calming presence near
I have no more fear or terror
Because I know you are mine forever ".
The swift answer came and the chains shattered
Freedom was obtained and that is all that mattered
