May God's peaceful and serene dove
Preside over the gathering from above
Pray this is the first of many assemblies’s to come
It may seem to be a welcome occasion for some
Whose busy lives are hustle and bustle
The cool wind of familiarity will rustle
As we find the time for soulful communion
During this anticipated family reunion
Let us relate the special moments of our lives
Really get to know all the husbands and wives
When it comes to a group this large
We need to have someone in charge
The one person I know for this task
Is our mother dear, need you ask?
And for the rest it is a time for us to confide
The entire blessing God has been so good to provide
Let this be a merry time filled with reminiscing
And sharing stories of those who are missing
Surely this will be a time of joy and cheer
We will go away glad that we had been here
