She was a lady with a silent beauty like a pearl.
Her charming exterior was present even as a girl.
Her laugh was lilting but still refined,
She had an extremely brilliant mind.
Her desire was to be a school teacher.
Her commanding manner was a prominent feature.
As a child I knew not to misbehave or oppose,
Out of respect and caring I suppose.
And also because I sincerely wanted to please,
She was my father's sister Roselie.
A distinguished lady I so admired.
For her ability to leave you feeling inspired.
She was a captivating vision in her favorite color red.
Which she wore quite often so it was said,
Delightfully , it contrasted in every way.
With her mass of curly locks of gray.
It is true she has been gone for many years.
But have no fear and save the tears.
For she left behind a piece of her loveliness,
In her daughter whose qualities she does possess.
