Dandruff Snow

What a dreary day, will winter ever leave?
How much more snow will we receive?
It seems this weather will last forever and a day.
We are tired of the sky’s being so gray.

We thought spring was coming very soon.
From, the looks of it, we are stuck with this till June.
It's getting so even the trees are beginning to quiver
The sight of dandruff snow makes me shiver.

The nights are cold and ever so long
How I miss the nightingale’s song.
It seems the whole country has gone awry
Only God knows the reason why.

I know this dreadful season will not last,
The Ides March will come in like a blast.
April showers undoubtedly will soon follow,
Our cry's for warmth will seem so hollow.

Our Lord knows what fickle creatures we are,
And knowing how are demands are so bizarre,
He'll chuckle at complaints about the summer heat.
Knowing the cycle of seasons must repeat.

We’ll look forward to gentle flakes of snow once more.
Hoping to escape the ferocious winds roar.
Perhaps God willing, this weather pattern of El Nino,
Will give way to a more tolerable La Nina.
