As we witness the years end.
We are about to lose a good friend.
He’s known to all as Father Time.
Who scoffs at the Holiday's chime?
He has joined the rank of the unemployed.
His replacement is one who has him annoyed.
It is just a snot nosed kid with a gigantic top hat,
A really kind of a bothersome little brat.
This is a really disgusting development.
It brings on a demeanor of detachment.
It seems that his age, and limited experience
Causes employers to exhibit only silence.
It seems for any position he is over qualified.
Let's face it being Father Time is modified.
Since no one will find him fit to hire.
He reluctantly has to give up and retire.
Old Father Time is sad, forlorn, and miffed.
At that irksome boy who took over his shift.
There is one consolation he can find: it seems divine.
Next year there will be two old men in the unemployment line.
