My Sister

My baby sister always had a warm place in my heart.
I knew she was perfect right from the start.
Her eyes were the color of azure blue,
Blond curls framed her face, casting a soft hue.
She had trouble-pronouncing Sis.
The word came out sounding like Tish.
Her dazzling smile left you entranced.
You felt caught up with her first glance.
Patsy was the love of my life.
We shared many moments of strife.
I looked after her like a mother.
She came first before any other.
Years passed by and life was hard for her.
Memories suddenly became a blur.
But love remained and seemed to last.
Time was racing by way to fast.
Then the day came we were parted.
I was left so heavy hearted.
I know we will be together again.
Only God can determine when.
Death may have taken you from us for now.
We will be joined in heaven. God will allow.
