Life has a way of throwing us curves,
Thus requiring us to call upon our reserves.
Weak and mortal, it is then we fall on our knees.
We pray to you Lord Jesus: to help us please.
Sickness, separation, death and despair.
Are the subjects of our daily prayer.
But each of these are in the stages of life,
That causes us so much pain and strife.
Life also offers us love, joy, happiness and peace.
Dignity comes when our wanton cries of rage cease
Let us open our minds and hearts to the Lord.
Through Him, our faith will be generously restored.
We think the accepted approach is beyond our reach.
At those moments we must practice what we preach.
Perhaps it is then that we will earn enough to merit
A place, in the glorious heaven that we hope to inherit.
