The young woman cradled the babe gently, Singing a lullaby to him ever so softly. She was thanking God for this gift of love, Such an angel certainly was from heaven above. Her sweet whispers were a comforting sound, That calmed every person around. She kissed his tiny brow To herself, made a solemn vow. "Dear God in heaven, Please know I treasure this lamb you did bestow. I will spend my life in homage to you, And teach my baby all that is true. You brought sunshine into my soul. Your glorious being I will forever extol. It is my deep desire that this young mortal, Will grow to know and honor you, the Immortal.
