A much-awaited special day has arrived.
A spirit of peace has for the moment been revived.
This is when we tell the Christ child's story.
And find ourselves bathed in his glory.
Children laugh and sing at the promise of presents.
Wonderment at bright boxes and their contents.
Candies and cookies made once a year,
Suddenly begin to appear.
Charitable acts become routine.
A part of the yuletide scene.
Especially the very poor, those left out in the cold.
Feel the benefits like the shepherds of old.
Decorations don the houses inside and out.
Every now and then you hear someone shout.
"Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight"
Miraculously the world and its trouble seem all right
Let me take this opportunity to wish you.
The blessing of Christmas born anew.
Let this holiday season in all clarity,
Be filled with love hope and charity.
