Best Friends Forever

Two little girls sat at the table pouring tea.
Talking about BFF a topic they both did agree.
They had known each other ever so long,
Their friendship was like a beautiful song.
Gabby had made a few little teacakes.
She had been to Grandma's to help her bake.
They began to discuss the happenings around them
And, the things that caused them a problem.
Today they talked about, Tom a ragged, sad little boy.
They knew for a fact this child had not even one toy.
So they decided to have a lemonade stand.
Gabby just knew Nannie would give them a hand.
If they made enough money they would buy him a bike.
They had seen one bright red in color that he might like.
Her friend Janet ran home to get some lemon or lime.
For she just knew her Mom would help if she had time.
By the time the girls got started they had plenty.
They didn't have to go to there banks for a single penny.
Her big brothers helped and built a wonderful stand
They painted a sign that read LEMONADE by hand.
Pretty soon the neighbors became aware.
Of what the little girls had started there.
Everyone came to help when they heard why.
They had just thought the little boy was shy.
Soon pitchers’ of Lemonade started to appear.
The girls were so delighted they began to cheer.
It wasn't long before they had enough money
To make this little boy's days bright and sunny.
Gabby and her friend Janet bought the 10 speed.
It turned out to be more bike than the boy would need
He managed a big smile and said, "I can sure grow into it"
The girls could tell this was certainly a big hit.
What a worthwhile result to their venture
It turned out to be a pleasant adventure,
So they decided to continued with the stand
Perhaps some other person will need a helping hand.
Their parents pointed with pride at each little gal.
Who were boosts to everyone's morale.
