I became aware of another presence when I was but a child.
At first it was like a voice soft, soothing and mild.
As I grew older I began to associate the familiar being,
As a heavenly protector, whom I trusted without seeing.
This was my introduction to my savior and my Lord.
My Grandmother read from the bible his holy word.
I began to notice all the beauty in this world so fair.
Winds that carried leaves gently through the air.
The drizzling rain that gave the flowers a drink.
To show their gratitude they ushered colors of pink.
After the rain had finished a beautiful bow was in the sky.
When I asked my grandmother the eternal question why?
She told me that was God's promise to the people on earth.
That He knew how much they all were worth.
I grew older and began to understand all the things she told me.
I thank my Lord for His graces on bended knee.
I thank you Dear Lord for my life and my teachers.
Who were my parents, instructors and preachers.
They taught me to give you glory, praise and honour,
For you are our Divine and glorious Saviour.
I pray to you each and every day, to let you know I love you.
It is my solemn wish that you know it is a love so true.
May my life be a tribute to my Lord and Master.
So that we can all be together in the hereafter.
