We held you in our prayers daily, my dear friend
Knowing very soon the curtain of life would descend
When this time on earth had reached all it could become
God in all His magnificent glory would call you home.
We were not ready to let you go so soon and face our grief
For it seems our relationship was all to brief
That hellish disease wracked you body and soul
Your beautiful smile contradicted its terrible toll
You're the brave and beautiful lady with the math
Who always considered the virtuous path.
Doctors gave you a piece of their heart,
They too, dreaded your having to part
All around the rockets were aimed at the sky
One was headed toward heaven, every 4th of July
Tears ,will be shed for our lovely Dee.
Who meant so much to everyone especially me.
