In the beginning in Bethlehem a land far, far away
Was born a Christ child, amid a stack of hay.
With an audience of shepherds and animals of many sorts
Hidden away from the evil kings courts.
The Holy family was safe and secure in the manger
Far from Herod's solider's immediate danger.
They had to return to face the demonic King's wrath,
Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus would escape a bloodbath,
The life of Jesus is he greatest story ever told.
From a meager beginning to God's glory for all to behold.
Each year we celebrate the nativity
And, look forward to the period of tranquility.
A time for families to assemble, to let God know.
Our faith has continued to blossom and grow.
