The little girl sat alone on the steps filled with sorrow.
Dreading what was going to happen tomorrow.
They were moving to a city far away.
This left her with a feeling of dismay.
This meant she was going to miss baking with Grandma.
And all the fun time spent fishing with grandpa.
She worried about her best friends and her cousins.
She knew she would miss them by the dozen's.
She would miss her teachers and the whole school,
Where she learned how to live by the rule.
Of course she would miss her church,
Where her behavior had always been above reproach.
She sat on the steps for a longer period of time to cry
While tears of innocence dropped from her eyes.
Soon her grandmother heard her sobbing softly
Then she approached her grandchild very gently.
Lisa explained her tears and dilemma.
How she would miss everyone and her horse named Emma
Grandma laughed heartily and explained that yes they would move.
Her granddaughter did not realize it was to improve
Her father's ,position and work status.
For he would be given a vacation for gratis.
She had overheard her parents conversation
But she mistook the place to moves location.
To move away from the farm the only home
With ,her Grandparents that she had ever known.
The move was not far only to the next town.
Close enough to come home to the farm.
Three miles a good walk would cause no harm.
As for the school, church and friends there would be the same.
She would be close enough to walk, all her tears had been in vain.
