He was just a little boy the youngest of seven.
Truly a magnificent gift from Heaven.
His sister, Jackie was truly his best friend,
Someone upon whom he could always depend.
She shared everything with her little brother.
They went through childhood enjoying one another.
Their family when it came to money was poor.
But the love of family made them feel secure.
He rode her hand-me-down bike,everywhere.
He sold newspapers , ran errands, and other chores.
People were used to seeing him coming to all the stores
Soon they found out he was collecting coins,
It wasn't long before his other siblings joined.
Now we are in the twilight of our life,
And have survived many years of strife.
One delightful and pleasant sound I hear.
Is Ken's laughter ringing loud and clear.
When over the miles, Ken & Jackie talk by phone.
Every Saturday eve, my how the time has flown.
One thing remains and that is the best friend.
Love between big sister and little brother will never end.
