Happy New Year from the Dog

Okay you people I hear the shouting and the singing.
I know that there must be a reason for bells ringing.

Holidays are for everyone even cats and dogs,
Farm animals like cows, horses, even the noisy ole frog.

I must tell you it is really great of you to give us left-over.
Of the only bird that did not escape, turkey the rover

That was saved since Christmas in the freezer .
Lucky for me I got a little of everything as a teaser

I really like to chew on each bone.
I gnaw until my teeth make me groan.

Dogs enjoy these marvelous days despite the snow
We laugh, romp and play as if you didn't know.

Just remember you grow older by one year
I happen to pick up seven (now that's a bit queer).

When I give you a big sloppy kiss
It's because your love brings me such bliss
