It was the summer equinox and the children were to meet Geronimo.
They were very excited about this. Now their mothers took extra time
to prepare them for this event. The warmest season of the year in the northern hemisphere
it extends from the summer solstice to the autumnal equinox.
It was important for the Mothers to teach the children the meaning of this time of year,
after all this marked the beginning of the Easter holiday.
They had a difficult time deciding where they were going to meet.
Some wanted to play baseball. some wanted to play other games but since they had girls
on this trip it was decided that perhaps they would go to the beach.
Water games seem to be just the thing that appealed to everyone.
And there was always enough for the children to do.
Some like to swim, some just liked to play in the water.
The Mothers could watch from afar to make sure all went well.
Low and behold, Geronimo arrived on his fairy wings and seemed genuinely pleased to greet the children who had already started playing in the water.
It was not long before Angel Fairy arrived with a prepared lunch sandwiches, chips, fruit,
ice cream and cake.
The day was spent playing with one another getting to know one another,
and at the end of the day they spent time listening to stories about how Geronimo helps other people
and why it is that they are so special to have him as a friend.
They heard all about Make Believe land and one day they can come to visit Him.
It had been a very full day and Geronimo took to his fairy wings to return to Make Believe Land.
All the children returned home full and happy.
