He just shook his head in dismay for he could never really understand all this trick or treat business. In the mist of all this loud rubble he heard a child crying. Now this was serious and needed his attention. He got out his magic compass and aimed it at earth. The dial spun around and around until it rested on Haiti. Now he had heard of a massive earthquake and all the mess that it had caused. He and Lil Boss had discussed making a trip to see what could be done to help those poor people. He shot a note off to Jesus and waited for his response. Like always the Lil Boss answered right away and asked him if he was ready for that trip. If so he would meet him in Port-au-Prince, right away. Geronimo strapped on his fairy wings, set the dial and headed for Port-au-Prince which is the capital of Haiti.

Upon arrival the first thing that met Geronimo's eye was the tent cities.
He walked down each and every line to see if he could find the crying child. Just about the time he reached the end of the line he saw Jesus kneeling in a open flap of one of the tents, he heard the soft whimper of a little child.

There the little boy was in Jesus' arms, tears cascaded down his dirty little cheeks. Next to him was the very still body of a woman who he later found out was the boy's mother. There was nothing he could do for this situation except to find a doctor. Like a miracle a gentleman appeared with a white coat on and a stethoscope hanging around his neck. Yes, it was one of the doctors who was donating all his time to help the people in Haiti.

Haiti had suffered a terrible blow not only did they have an earthquake but the water was contaminated and cholera (a deadly plague) had infected so many people. He prayed that this was not the case with the little boy's mother.

Geronimo held the little boy for a while so the man could attend to his mother. It seemed like a long time but the man finally got the mother to arouse. The first thing she asked for was her little boy and with a big smile she took him in her arms.

He and Lil Boss took a turn around the camp to make sure everyone was being tended to. They got to watch as many doctors "without borders" helped all those who were sick. Geronimo felt so proud to even have a little part in assisting these poor people.

Then they decided to go home. Geronimo got out his fairy wings and humming a little tune he flew off to Make Believe land.

When he arrived he gave angel fairy a detailed report as to why he had been gone so long. He kind of shook his head and under his breath whispered" Now I know what human men go through with wives"

With this he curled up under his bon bon tree and settled in for a nap.
