It was a joyous time indeed for everything was in a hustle bustle for holidays were on their way even to make believe land. Like the rest of the universe things had to be tip top shape. Angel fairy took it upon herself to make sure that Geronimo did not forget. Halloween had come and gone with no incident. No unruly cherubs or habitants got out of hand with the trick or treats. On earth things were pretty quiet and no incidents that required Geronimo and Lil Boss to intervene. They had also weathered the ninth month, which was Ramadan for some folks : without any problems. But now was another special day for the folks on earth and that was Thanksgiving (at least for some of the folks). But the biggest and most wonderful day was approaching. That was Christmas when most of the world celebrated Lil Boss's birthday. This was a time when Christmas trees were decorated and Geronimo did not have a clue as to exactly what this entailed so he called upon his good friend Handy a man that knew just about everything about small details. He knew Handy was his man. When Handy came over, Geronimo watched as he climbed up the ladder to put a star on top of the tree. It was a long stretch for him and before he knew it he fell to the ground because the ladder tipped over. Angel fairy rushed in to check on him and set his broken finger. Geronimo did not realize that this time of year could be so dangerous but he sure was glad the angel fairy was there. Finally the tree was decorated because one of the pan fairies flew in to put the star on top. When Pan fairy and Handy were leaving Geronimo expressed his gratitude (that means thanks very much). Handy and the Pan fairy thought that they needed to have popcorn, candy canes and stockings for Lil Boss, Geronimo, and Angel Fairy. They brought this to Geronimo’s attention, for he was open to suggestions from just about anyone. Handy and Pan fairy seemed to know a lot about this Christmas stuff. Geronimo was eager to learn. But they were a long way from being ready for Lil Boss's big day. Now there was the dilemma of presents. What do you get for the Lord and his son? Geronimo was really flying blind he had never encountered just a problem (and this is right here in Make Believe Land) all the many decades this had never been a problem but then again his relationship had changed. It used to be very distant he did his job on earth and just sent reports to the Boss. But now he is a friend and working companion with the Boss's son. The first thing he thought about was to get a big bunch of balloons and set them off when Lil Boss came over. That would let him know how special he is. Geronimo decided there really wasn't much he could give to Lil Boss except his friendship and good attitude. Now he had to get everyone to agree with this and that was going to be a chore because Angle Fairy was trying to come up with presents. He called her aside and told her about the balloon idea and she loved that but when he told her about presents she began to pout. Now he couldn't have a pouting fairy hanging around. So he suggested that she wrap little boxes with brightly colored paper and in each box would be a wish. Now that she could relate to that: for if fairies know anything at all it is about wishes. Now they had 2009-12-25 00:00:00 GMT+00:00 until his birthday. Angel Fairy took this task to her heart and began to work on the boxes. Inside of each she put a wish or a saying she thought Lil Boss would like, but because she didn't know him as well as Geronimo did asked him about everyone of them. Inside of the first box she put "Obedience" written in her beautiful fairy handwriting this was ideal, and then in the next box she put a card with "Faith". She was so excited she started jumping up and down. Geronimo was so glad to see her so happy. She presented a list of things to him for his approval they read something like "Hope", "Charity", "Love", "Honesty", dutiful each one written on a beautiful card. This took her hours to complete and when she was finished she arranged the seven brightly colored boxes under the tree. Before he knew it Geronimo was helping on the notes. Some visitors a deer, a rabbit and a fox stopped by to offer suggestions. And of course there were fairies of all sorts flying around and putting their two cents worth in. But as the time went by it seemed there was nothing more to do but just to make sure he consulted some of the children he often visited (of course by e-mail) and one of the kids asked if they had sent Santa an e-mail about Lil Boss's Birthday. Holy Smokes they had all forgotten about Santa, but before they could get to the computer it said out loud "You've got mail" Geronimo went to see what had come in. He came back to the fairies and they could see he was laughing. "Wouldn't you know it, the old guy is certainly on top of things. I just got an e-mail from Santa saying "Merry Christmas and wish Lil Boss Happy Birthday for me."
