A message came to Geronimo from the children that there was a strange creature wandering in their neighborhood. They were frightened and did not know who else to notify. This seemed to be a lost critter but still so different that like all things unknown to them the children were very leery. About the same time an email came from Lil Boss that he was tied up with another matter for the Big Boss and had to tend to some heavenly matters. He had heard about the critter-causing disturbance and asked Gerry to take care of it.
Geronimo was a little disappointed but knew that the Boss needed Jesus for some important heavenly stuff too. Without ado he gathered up his fairy wings and headed to earth destination Florida. Seems a lot of weird things were occurring in Florida lately. He liked going to Alyssa's house for she was a lovely young girl with a very level head and did not get rattled at every little thing.
When he arrived Alyssa met him to show him a strange little creature that was sitting with some empty boxes and crying. In his calmest manner he jumped up on the little guy's nose and held his finger to his lips. This made the little guy cross his eyes to see him and when he did he laughed. Well now we could get down to business. He asked the creature a few questions like who are you and where are you from.
The little guy opened his mouth and uttered some sort of gibberish that neither Geronimo nor Alyssa could understand.
Geronimo pulled out a little book of unknown languages and began to utter some sort of language. The little guy eyes lit up and he began to understand what Geronimo was saying.
He explained he was from earth His mother was a Lady Rabbit and his father was a Wily Fennec Fox. His language was froxabitese
This is the first time he had ever been out alone and he had to run an errand for his mother. He went to the neighbors to fetch some carrots. Eggs and dead worms. But after he picked up the boxes full of food he discovered he was lost. Some huge birds swooped down and grabbed the food right out of the boxes.
Geronimo thought to himself "Ummm must have been hawks or eagles." After all he had worms in the batch of food seeing that he was an omnivore. (that means he eats small animals, eggs, fruits and plants)
After Geronimo told Alyssa all that the little creature said, She asked if Geronimo could find his home: if so she would get him some food minus the worms.
Geronimo asked him what his name was and he indicated that it was Floxby. " Nice name " replied Gerry. "Now lets find your way home, Alyssa went in the house to get some food for the boxes".
She gave him what she could gather up minus the worms of course.
Geronimo walked while Floxby hopped, soon they came upon a thicket and Floxby indicated he knew where he was now. He said to Geronimo "Thank you so much for the help, Tell the little girl I said thank you for the food“ With that he disappeared in the bushes.
Alyssa had gone home when she heard her mother call her.
Geronimo waited a few minutes caught the moonbeam and headed for his home.
He had so much to tell Lil Boss. He saw a new creature and learned a new language. Pretty good for just a no work at all. Just a little kindness goes a long way for everybody including Foxabees.
