The Sad and Lonely Ferris Wheel
There once was a Ferris wheel that stood all alone in the middle of a cornfield. The ground around it was very desolate and deserted. When they were building it they ran out of money so rather than start over the manufacturer (those are people who build things) just went away and left this poor wheel unfinished.
Oh it had some brightly colored awning but no lights, no music box and worse of all no people. This poor wheel stood unattended for quite sometime and the only things moving on it was rain , snow and wind. The rain and snow would pelt it and the wind would rock the seats, the only sound was the lonely rush of air that whistled through the seats making them rock and creak. Occasionally the only sound heard was the wail of a train whistle way off in the distance. However, one nice spring day a little blue bird rested itself on the top seat and look way out over the land. He said softly in his whistling voice "Mr. Wheel, This is a lovely view " "I'll bet it makes you happy to look out over the land" "No "said the poor wheel " I am so sad and so lonely, I was built to bring joy and laughter to children, but I sit out here all alone except for every now and then I get a precious little bird or critter that comes along, but I was built for children and lovers. With this the wheel started to weep big tears of machine oil mixed with rust that rolled down his side of his cheeks. The little bird cooed and tried to console him "Please don't cry I will put out the word and maybe we can help you." " I will be gone for a bit to find my friends and see if we can work something out." The little bird flew and flew to find some of his canary and parakeet friends hoping they could send out this message.

(This seemed to be a job for Geronimo so he whistled a distress song like an SOS. Sure enough he got through to make believe land and Geronimo took over. First he sent out e-mail to the children on earth, which read).

Help Wanted!!! Ferris wheel in trouble needs riders free of charge.

Well that did it It wasn't long before the children took it from there; Sally was the first to lay the groundwork "Daddy I know where there is a beautiful Ferris wheel who had no riders. Do you think maybe we could take my friends and we could check it out?"
At first her father was uninterested because he was involved with watching a ball game” Not now Sally the Rays are losing maybe after the game."
She knew that it would have to wait but that would be okay for the poor wheel had waited this long. Meanwhile she called all her friends and told them about the situation and encouraged them to talk to their parents.
It wasn't long before several cars loaded with kids were headed for the field. When they got there they were surprised to find the poor lonely wheel with no lights or sounds. Who wanted to ride a naked Ferris wheel? The fathers got together and strung a bunch of gaily-lit lights all up and down the wheel. {Little did they know but the wheel began to smile} Then the mothers made cushions for the seats and tied bright ribbons between each seat.
Soon the high school band came along because a little brother told them about the wheel and was in need of music.
Finally the wheel felt like a proper amusement park ride and because he was so happy he started to run. Round and round only stopping to load children who laughed and squealed with delight. Just remember this miracle occurred because a little bird took pity on a big Ferris wheel, And was able to touch the hearts of a few children which proves that anything is possible because of the human spirit.

(Well now Geronimo and Lil Boss were aware that a good deed had been accomplished with very little help from them. The big Boss will indeed mark gold stars in the records of the children and their parents.)
