Once upon a time there was a little girl by the name of Alexandria. She was a precious little thing
but needed to have a friend, someone she could talk to about all her feelings. There were times
that she was very sad especially when she was in the hospital but she did not want her Mom to worry
so she decided no matter what she would wear a smile.
She went home just before her birthday and her devoted Mom decided to give her a birthday party.
At the party she met lots of young girls her age and they were daughters of her Mom's friends.
It was at this party that she met Alyssa. Allie just turned nine and Alyssa was like a big sister,
because she was twelve. They found out they had a lot in common. Allie had a pair of bright shiny
shoes that flashed different colors.
They did so many things together that you would have thought they were real sisters only better
because they did not argue. They were constantly going shopping (not always to buy things but just
sometimes to look), they rode their bikes and jogged all over the complex and when it got really hot
they would go swimming in the pool. Another favorite thing they did was to go and have their nails
done at Duffy’s nail salon.
One night Allie had a dream about when she saw Jesus helping a little boy who had severe problems.
It was hard for her to understand for the boy was someone she did not like because he was mean to
the girls.
He was big, loud, rude and rough, someone the little girls would stay away from. She and Alyssa had a
long discussion about her dream and decided that the reason she dreamed about Jesus helping that
particular boy was because he really needed the Lord perhaps more than anyone else did at that
time. Allie felt better about her dream after she and Alyssa had this chat. It was then that the
girls decided to reach out to the boy. Perhaps Jesus would use them to help him become a nicer
person. To their amazement the boy settled down and began to talk about his problems. It was
then that the girls discovered he was really a sad little boy and his loudness and unsettled behavior
were ways he could cope. (that means get along)
Would you believe that this little act of kindness could change a person?
He still had some ways to go but at least it was a start.
But lets face it, Jesus is for all the children of the world big and little.
He extends his hand when we least expect it but it is up to us to take it, remember he comes in
many disguises. We don't always see the face of Jesus but often it is a friend we know. When
we are too tired to walk it is our friend who carry's us and is doing the Lord's work. If we are
hungry and have nothing to eat, it is a friend who shares their lunch. If we are lost we remember
the way because we went with a friend. These are all instances of love and caring.
So the next time you meet someone who is mean, selfish, or domineering
Just remember the little boy and how Jesus reached out in a dream to help him. Just say a little
prayer and perhaps like the girls you can become one of Gods little angels too.
